About Us

In 1991, Intruder Defense Systems LLC was formed by Robert E. Brashears, Jr. and Brett F. Brashears.  The founding members recognized the need for professionalism and experience in not only installing systems, but how to properly integrate these systems into business operations and everyday life.  Combined, both partners have over 35 years of experience in corporate and government environments designing, installing and managing security, fire alarm, video surveillance and access control systems.  Both partners are certified alarm technicians (CAT), a designation achieved from the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA.)  In addition, Brett F. Brashears has been board certified by the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP).  He also has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Security Administration.
